Angela Naccari, accompanist

Graduated in piano with highest honours and then attended specialization courses with Franco Medori and Massimiliano Damerini. She earned further degrees in harpsichord and in “Discipline delle Arti della Musica e dello spettacolo” from the University of Bologna with a thesis about “The Art of the Maestro Collaboratore”. She also owns a postgraduate diploma in Early Music from the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome.

Having always had a special interest in the repertoire of opera, lied and chamber music, she has worked as maestro sostituto and maestro al cembalo in various opera performances and with several institutions such as Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro Massimo “Bellini” in Catania, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome, Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Orchestra Roma Tre, Festival dei due mondi di Spoleto, Festival Barocco di Viterbo.

She teaches “pratica del repertorio vocale” and “lettura dello spartito” at the Conservatory “S. Cecilia” in Rome, where she works with Sara Mingardo for the course for Renaissance and Baroque Singing, and she also works as accompanist on the harpsichord in early music courses and masterclasses (held, among others, by Furio Zanasi, Lia Serafini, Emma Kirkby, Alessio Tosi).

She regularly performs with early music groups and is a founding member of the ensemble “Mirabilis Harmonia” that is dedicated to the rediscovery of rarely played masterpieces, producing modern transcriptions after accurate historical studies.
